Sales & Marketing Golf Assistant

Terms: Permanent / Full Times

Job Description:

This position would suit a highly motivated, enthusiastic person with exceptional customer service skills

with a background in general Golf Operations. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the game of golf,

rules of golf, and experience in; golf shop, marketing, member relations and event management.


Desired Skills & Experience:

* Previous sales & merchandising experience in a retail operation

* digital marketing/publisher & design experience an advantage  

* manage online and social media presence on all marketing and media platforms 

* sales experience - ability to identify sales opportunities and convert enquiries

* good level of computer literacy  - knowledge of Publisher, Powerpoint, Word & Excel important

* client and customer focused with excellent verbal, written communication & presentation skills

* work as part of a team but also be able to work on own initiative to complete tasks 

* attention to detail, organisational skills, and structured approach to key tasks

* be available to work early mornings and weekend shifts in the high golfing season

2 x Commis Chef 

Terms: Full Time, Seasonal (Summer)

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, an eagerness to exceed expectations, the ability to work as part of a team and lead by example and learn from his/her colleagues.

Minimum requirements:

  • Either on the job experience of a minimum of one year or formal college trained, &
  • HACCAP qualified.
  • Excellent Communication skills including fluency in English.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure. Flexible with regards to working hours, weekend work will be required.

Main Purpose of Job:
To assist the Senior Chef on duty with storage, preparation and cooking of all food items , whilst adhering to all Health and Food Safety areas of "Due Diligence" as laid out by management in the Killeen Castle HACCP and Food Safety Hazard Analysis 
Training Documents.

To also demonstrate and help maintain high levels of service that consistently exceeds the expectations of our members.


2 x Chef de Partie

Terms: Full Time, Seasonal (Summer)

Job Description:

As a chef de partie you get to oversee a section of the kitchen, be it pastry, butchery, fish, sauces, vegetables and so on. This is why the job is sometimes called a station chef or line cook. In large kitchens, you usually get help from a demi-chef de partie, commis or trainee chef. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes within your speciality
  • Managing and training any demi-chef de parties or commis working with you
  • Helping the sous chef and head chef to develop new dishes and menus
  • Ensuring you and your team have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
  • Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins

What hours will I work? 
You'll probably have to work split shifts and at least 40 hours a week. 

What skills do I need?

  •  A grasp of profit margins

What qualifications do I need? 
You can work your way up the kitchen brigade by taking the modem apprenticeship route as well as studying for an NVQ or SVQ. Alternatively, you can study full-time at college. Most chef de parties will have spent four years as a commis chef and have at least NVQ/SVQ Level 2 or equivalent under their toque. A foundation degree in culinary arts

  • Any health and safety and food hygiene courses

Who would it suit? 
Someone who's got bags of stamina and enjoys the fast pace of working in a kitchen. You also need to be able to stay calm and work as part of a team during a frenetic service.
