The six hundred acres of Killeen Castle are graced with an abundance of flora and fauna, reflecting the idyllic rural setting of the castle.
The grounds are home to native tree species such as Ash, Oak and Beech, some of which have been there for almost five hundred years, while a herd of native deer, badgers and foxes can all be numbered among your ‘neighbours’.
The lakes at Killeen have been fully stocked and are teeming with fish, as well as being home to pairs of swans who look on in bemused and graceful silence as humans pass by in pursuit of a small white ball.
