Killeen Castle Estate has long been a place where people come to relax, explore and enjoy the natural beauty of the Boyne Valley. From peaceful woodland walks to scenic views across our championship golf course, it’s an environment that offers a genuine sense of escape, just a short distance from Dublin.
We are always delighted to welcome visitors to the estate, and it’s important to us that this remains a place that can be enjoyed by many.
At the same time, Killeen Castle Estate is a private estate and home to a growing residential community. Alongside our hospitality and golf offering, this means we have a responsibility to ensure the privacy, safety and day-to-day experience of our residents, members and guests is protected at all times.
With this in mind, we have recently introduced an Estate Access Policy. The intention is not to limit enjoyment of the estate, but to ensure it can continue to be experienced in a way that is respectful, safe and sustainable for everyone.
Visitors are very welcome to enjoy our designated walking routes, which have been carefully selected to showcase the beauty of the estate while avoiding private and operational areas. These routes offer a peaceful and enjoyable way to experience Killeen Castle Estate, whether you are visiting for a walk, a coffee, or to spend time with family and friends.
To help maintain this balance, we kindly ask all visitors to be mindful of a few key guidelines.
Our residential areas and roadways are strictly private and are not accessible to the public. These spaces are people’s homes, and respecting their privacy is essential.
Similarly, the golf course and its surrounding paths are operational sporting areas and are reserved exclusively for golfers. While they may appear inviting for walking, they are not designed or permitted for this purpose.
In addition, dog walking is not permitted on the estate for non-residents. This policy helps us maintain the quality, safety and cleanliness of the grounds for all who use them.
These measures are in place to protect what makes Killeen Castle Estate special - a peaceful, well-maintained environment where residents, members and visitors can all enjoy their time here.
We also encourage visitors planning to dine with us to book in advance, as our hospitality spaces may occasionally be reserved for private events.
